Which Course To Teach

How can I meet the needs of children who can only come one time?

Consider offering Safe Sitter® (1-day) or Safe Sitter® (1-day with CPR) for children with busy schedules or limited transportation.

How can I teach Safe Sitter® and break even financially?

All educational programs in my organization must break even financially. How can I continue to teach Safe Sitter®?

Safe Sitter® is designed to be a service to your community, not a profit-making venture. It can be revenue-neutral with fees paid by the students covering your costs. The only item each student is required to have is a Babysitter's Handbook which costs $17.50.

You may want to collaborate with another organization in your community to control costs and expand your outreach. Perhaps you could work with a church or youth organization to offer Safe Sitter®. They might register the students and provide the adult Instructors while you provide the facility, manikins, and rescue skills Instructors.

How should we announce a program change?

We have always taught the Safe Sitter® Basic. We are switching to Safe Sitter® (1-day with CPR). How should we announce the change?

Assure the parents that Safe Sitter® (1-day with CPR) includes all the essential information. The business sections have been condensed to allow time for CPR.
