Safe Sitter® is committed to being available and affordable. To help ensure the inclusion of people from all income levels, there is a national scholarship program. A moderate amount of scholarship money is available to be distributed throughout the country.
Site Coordinators may apply for student scholarships that provide free Handbooks for students who cannot afford the normal fee. Scholarship students may be charged a reduced fee. Sites may do fundraising to cover the balance of expenses for scholarship students. Possible sources for funds are hospital auxiliaries, foundations, local service clubs, or local businesses.
Please remember that if all the other students in a course receive the Safe Sitter® Kit or items from the kit, scholarship students need to receive identical items.
