How One Junior League Uses Safe Sitter®
as a Community Impact Project

JLNO_Lagniappe2004Junior Leagues work to identify local needs and develop programs to improve conditions in their communities and beyond.

In cooperation with the Parenting Center at Children's Hospital, the Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) is helping children throughout the city become potential lifesavers through the Safe Sitter® program.

Individual Junior Leagues can start a Safe Sitter® teaching site or work in partnership with other organizations to offer a life-saving program that builds better, safer communities.

JLNO"It is just as important that older children taking responsibility for younger siblings be trained in the lifesaving, behavior management and emergency management skills as a for-hire babysitter would be. And as our students become adults, the skills they learn in Junior League's Safe Sitter® classes will help them become better parents."
