“To emphasize the importance of learning about child development, I break the students into four groups representing Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, and School Age.  They become ‘experts’ on the age group and develop a poster depicting things relative to the age group; i.e. likes, dislikes, games, dangers, safety issues, etc.  Each group presents it to the class which gives Instructors an opportunity to clear up misconceptions about ages and stages of development.  They can be quite creative!”
