Class Follow-up

Q

What do I need to send National Headquarters after a student class?

A

You only need to send a list of the names and addresses of your graduates.  You do not need to send us Registration Forms, student evaluations, or tests.

We always enjoy reading outstanding essays, unique comments on the student evaluations, and poems or stories written by students. We may even print these in the student newsletter. So please feel free to submit these anytime!

Q Why is it important to send in a class roster after class?
A

Safe Sitter® Connection, the student newsletter, is mailed to students whose names and addresses have been sent to National Headquarters.  Safe Sitter® will send four free bi-annual newsletters.  Your students won't receive their newsletters if you don't send in their names and addresses.

Please do not send a sign-in sheet.  We need to be able to read the information to be sure the newsletters go to the correct address.  Remember to include zip codes and your site number and class dates.

Q Is there anything in addition to the Student Newsletter that graduates receive?
A Student should be encouraged to check Safe Sitter's Web page.  There are special sections for babysitters.  It changes monthly and contains answers to questions about common babysitting problems.  Along with tips on babysitting, there are brief questionnaires and puzzles for the graduates to complete, and suggestions for activities to do while babysitting.
Q How long should I save the Registration Forms and tests after a class?
A All Registration Forms should be kept for at least seven years. Tests may be kept for one year or discarded after each class.
