Attending a Safe Sitter® Instructor Workshop

Instructors are the heart of Safe Sitter®.  The program is fun and easy, but an Instructor's greatest reward is in making a difference in the lives of young adolescents.  A day with a Safe Sitter® National Trainer will prepare you to begin with confidence.

  • You don't need to bring any materials with you.  We will give you a comprehensive Instructor Manual and Student Manual at the workshop.
  • Please dress comfortably.  We'll do our best to control the room temperature, but it's always wise to wear layers for greater comfort.
  • We will respect your busy schedules by beginning and ending the workshop on time.
  • At the beginning of the day, please be sure to turn off anything that beeps, buzzes or sings.
  • Safe Sitter® believes that children deserve to be in child-centered environments.  Instructor Workshops are designed for adults and are not appropriate for children.
  • Workshop fees should be paid in advance.  Your National Trainer cannot accept payments at the workshop.
  • You will get a short lunch break.  Your National Trainer will have suggestions for nearby restaurants.  Coffee is usually provided in the morning.
  • We limit workshops to 25 participants to assure a good experience for everyone.  If you need to cancel, please let us know ASAP.  There may be another person waiting to get into the workshop.
  • One or two days before your workshop, please double check our Web site for directions to your workshop.  Occasionally the room has to be changed at the last minute.
  • For questions, concerns, or cancellations, please call (800) 255-4089, x 12 or email
