We are the Safe Sitters,
We learned how to babysit.
We won't give up,
Cause we don't know how to quit.
You don't have to worry at all,
Your kids are safe with us,
From broken bones to a little cut,
We love every kid,
We babysit for.
We're all so safe,
Do we have to say more!

 Sitter Writes Rap!
A Safe Sitter® graduate of Dover, New Hampshire was inspired by her
Safe Sitter® class at Frisbie Memorial Hospital and wrote:

Babysitting is lots of fun, but Safe Sitter® is number one
You'd better watch out and start to care
about the dangers that are everywhere
Close the windows and lock the door
Don't even think of it as a chore
If you do all of this the right way, the kids I'm sure will thank you some day
Be very careful and don't' fool around
Look out, for the bee on the ground
Please don't talk to that odd-looking guy
Don't fall for his act, playing like he's shy
When you call for pizza, leave the money outside
He may try to kidnap someone's little kid
When you babysit a child, don't ever be mad
It can, you know, ruin your self esteem
When you play games, play them inside the house
Don't let the kids run for they might fall down
Fun games like cat-and-mouse
Down, real hard, onto the ground
Be safe and everything will be okay
And remember we'll all be here to thank you one day

Poster Poem Shared

A Safe Sitter® student from Decatur, Illinois was so inspired by her class, she wrote this poem for the poster contest:

We are the safe sitters,
We learn how to sit.
We won't give up,
We don't know how to quit.

Don't worry at all,
you're safe with us,
From a broken bone to abdominal thrust.
We love all the kids
we babysit for.
We're all so safe.
Need we say more?

Sitter Rap Says It All!
Rappin' Safe Sitters at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma put their thoughts to words with this "Sitter Rap":

We are the sitters, we're really cool,
We never babysit by the pool.
We change the diapers, we pick up the mess,
Your kids will love us 'cuz we're the best!
Rescue breathing is so nice,
We can save your kids before we think twice.
In a situation, we stay calm,
Your kids won't even miss their mom...
If you need us, give us a call,
If we're not home, we're at the mall...

We're Safe Sitter's! (Repeat 2 times)

We can save a chokin' child,
And make hot water mild,
'Cause we're Safe Sitter's! (Repeat 2 times)

We can help revive a kid,
And can save a knee from skid,
'Cause we're Safe Sitter's!

We will watch your child at ease,
For a few dollars please.
Cause we're Safe Sitter's! (Repeat 2 times)

Since Mrs. Robin's teaching is the best,
We know we'll pass our first test
"Cause we're Safe Sitter's!
Your child ain't gonna jitter,
'Cause you hired a Safe Sitter.
'Cause we're Safe Sitters!

Safe Sitters Know

All I need to know in life
I learned from my Safe Sitter® class...
Play time is the best part of the day.
The less attention paid to whining,
the less whining there will be.
Safety is top priority.
"Mommy" is the most important word.
"My bottle and my rattle,
they comfort me."
Choking is not fun.
Passing big tests feels good.
Saving children is a good thing,
and I can do it!
Babies cry a lot!
Last, but not least,
distractions stop temper tantrums.

Poetic Praise
A Safe Sitter® graduate of
Midvale, Utah took Safe Sitter®
 at Pioneer Valley Hospital
and wrote:

Babysitting means fun and laughter.
Toys and games are
what kids go after.
Babysitting means making friends.
Even after someone else tends.
Even when you go to
many different places.
Really great and tons of fun,
When you babysit you'll
 always be number one.
